Seems there is a FCC application for a new Sony device with the above model name. Nothing about the screen though, anyone has more info on that thing?

Thanks, guess it takes a while before Google updates or perhaps it is their new policy about local material first (I'm in Japan).
Appreciate the link, didn't know about a mid-April embargo.
Hoping and wishing that the new model will be more open in it's architecture.

The only thing I hope for in a new Sony tablet reader is to have a better page zoom and navigation, I'm still using DPT-S1, and as much as I like it, I just fight with it to get the right level of zoom with different documents while reading.

The CP1 is a A5 size version https://www.sony.jp/digital-paper/products/DPT-CP1/

Can't really understand Sony's strategy, why not improve the software of the RP1 first.

They were probably waiting for the release of the new model as they probably share firmware. But that's just my guess.

EDIT: corrected "fireware" to "firmware".
