Kobo - cant load ebooks - need help!!
My Kobo Aura One is giving me fits trying to load ebooks. I've had this ereader for a couple of years, with no problem, till recently. Now, when I try to load a book from Calibre, it says "unicode is not defined", and I cant load it.
I use a laptop and USB cord. I have updated my Calibre, I have powered down my Kobo and reset it. I have done a full factory reset of the Kobo, and re-installed the Kobo setup software. Still getting the "unicode is not defined" error message. Any recommendations?? |

We need to see the full error message. Press the copy button on the error message and post the content. From that we can tell exactly were the error is happening in calibre. And should be able to suggest a fix.

That says you are using the KePub Output with version 3.0.0. You need to update that, plus any other Kobo or Kepub plugins you have installed. And I would recommend updating any other plugins as well.

There should have been notification when the plugin was updated. And we don't update them for no reason. Updating to the latest version is usually a good idea.
And for the record, that error was in the Kepub Output plugin. Which, isn't normally used when sending a book to the device. Where you sending a book that did not have a epub or kepub format? Or have you removed epub from the list of supported formats in the KoboTouch driver? |
