Footer issue

1. The progress doesn't increase until I pass a picture. Then it updates the percentage until the next image.
2. The time is always stuck on calculating
3. Wish these were in a status bar separate from the window.

Are you reading an image heavy book or something? There was a bug in the viewer where a image was counted as double the size for progress as in the old viewer, now fixed (not that you will have to reload the book via the Viewer controls for the fix to take affect).

After installing Calibre 4.1, the ebook viewer still shows calculating for the time to read book/chapter/chapter&book items. I am assuming that by the time I have read 30+% of the book, somewhat logical numbers should be displayed.

Hmm could be I broke it while adding support for book position, I will take a look at it when I have a moment.

Works for me. Note that it will ignore scrolls that happen in under 2 seconds, so it really only works well if you turn page by page and take at least 2 seconds to read a page.

That would be the issue then. I just opened another book and waited around 4 seconds between page turns. Somewhere around the 6% mark, the time to read the book kicked in. The first books I was looking at were recipe books so I was skipping around quite rapidly.
