How to read japanese characters?

Hi Guys,

I'm an owner of a Kobo Aura HD, and I've a library from my old kindle that I'd like to convert and use on my Kobo. I was able to move all the files on Calibre (idk if there's a better method) but when I send them to my Kobo, I can't display characters properly, just a bunch of empty squares, like it lack the font to read it.

It's weird tho cos the name of the book is displayed correctly on the top of each page...

I've tried with pdf too, it works oc but some pages are missing few lines, probably due a bad conversion...

Do you know a way or have any tip to help me to import those file correctly on the kobo? On Calibre they are fine, so I'm pretty sure it's related to a missing font (so: how to install jp font?) or to a bad conversion (so: how to convert it properly?)

Ty so much!!!!

My suggested method is to install the KoboTouchExtended plugin in calibre, then re-send the book. The the books are sent that way, (converted on the fly to what we call Kepub,), Kobo will automatically fall back to a different font if the glyphs it needs are not in your current font.

Otherwise, while reading the book you have now, try sithing to one of the Kobo Japanese fonts. I think the "Kobo Tsukushi Mincho" would do it.
