Is there a "/etc/init.d/framework" on Kindle 5 linux?

Hello,

There is script I am using that relies on

Code:

/etc/init.d/framework

The usage is

Code:

/etc/init.d/framework stop

and

Code:

/etc/init.d/framework start

I believe the point is to stop the Kindle GUI from interfering but I am not 100% sure.

Is there an equivalent under Kindle 5 firmware?

I think everything had moved to Upstart by this point, try “start/stop framework”.

lab126_gui and/or x might be enough/more/better, depending on your exact use case.
