Automatic addition of ebook

Hello. I need to import ebooks in Caliber into a library with existing records.
Until a few days ago I used the automatic addition function with record merging. Now even if the automatic option is checked and Caliber detects the presence of the pre-existing record it still creates a new line for me.
What's wrong? Thank you

Remeber to set the auto merge setting to ignore duplicate formats, what you describe will happen if you have ot set to create a new ook record for each duplicate format.

Thanks for the reply. I have tried all three options available but the problem remains. Yet Caliber warns me that there is a duplicate record but does not unify them. I repeat until a few days ago it worked very well and only a few records were discarded for a different author setting.
