Best Reader for Interactive EPUB

Hello!

I am studying an online course, in addition to being able to work through the course in a web browser there is the ability to download the materials in e-book format. I have a Kindle (x 2) and the format is available, however, EPUB is also available with the option of interactive EPUB. I can download and open EPUB in iOS “Books” on my iPad and I have an old Kobo somewhere.

I don’t believe my Kobo will be compatible with interactive and an iPad is rather heavy, what other readers or reader apps (e.g. for Android) support EPUB, including interactive EPUB?

Google-fu, if it is to be believed, told me that you pretty much need some kind of tablet, https://publishdrive.com/5-things-ev...ractive-books/ , unless you want to try converting books...which may or may not work.

If the book is not “interactive ePub”, then almost anything will directly read ePub, kindle would mean converting to mobi or azw

Hi, thanks for the reply

I was thinking it may have to be a tablet. The books in question work fine in iBooks but my iPad is a little heavier than I’d like for a portable reader. I’ve looked at a few Android tablets but the reader apps seem a bit hit and miss in terms of how good they are. I may opt for a small Android tab and pair with my phone if I’m out and about.

Thanks again!

If you're already invested in the Apple ecosystem, a refurbished iPad Mini 4 is a pretty reasonable deal.

An iPad mini would do what you want. The new one is even lighter.
