Change the cover

Hi, when I change cover in metadata, this new cover is not the one I have when I open the book (epub). I have to manually edit the book, in order to replace the cover. Is it possible to do that automatically ?

How did you transfer the book to the device?
Calibre does NOT automatically update the Library copy, but embeds the current metadata (inc the cover) as it sends the book (send to Device, Copy to Folder).
Use the OS to transfer and you bypass this process.

OTOH there are a number of tools and plugins the WILL update the Library copy. Embed Metadata, Polish and Modify EPUB (a PI)

You can try the Modify Epub plugin (calibre's Polish function will also do this but I have ME set to do some other functions as well). Otherwise, the cover in the metadata gets updated but not the cover in the epub file.
