PW3 Can't install factory firmware PW3 5.8.9.2

Hey all, I'm trying to jailbreak my PW3 (G090G1) on firmware 5.8.9.2, but when I try to install the factory firmware 5.9.6.1 I get an error that states that the update failed, and it gives me an error code of 16 at the bottom of the screen. It didn't brick the device and I just had to press the power button to get it to come back on, but it was still on 5.8.9.2. I'm thinking I should install a newer customer firmware and try again, but I figured I'd ask here first. Any ideas?

I'm a bit fuzzy on the details, and whether this applies to this specific case, but you might have to update to the *customer* version of 5.9.6.1 first.

@ilovejedd probably remembers the details of this bit of trickery more than me

Note: If you get an UPDATE ERROR: 16 message, try installing customer firmware 5.9.6.1 first, then try again with the factory firmware.

That's what I thought but I was just going off the index thread and wiki, which made no mention of this very specific case. Thank you so much for your help guys!
