Question Paperwhite 2015 stopped indexing new .mobis

Having to convert everything new to .azw3 all of a sudden. Newly introduced books no longer show up if they're mobis, but all the older mobis still display.

The device hasn't been online for months so it's not going to be a software update. Everything is sideloaded.

I've restarted it three times since the problem began, and that made no difference.

Is there anything that can be done without going through the palaver of deleting everything from it?

Thanks. Was that a reset to factory settings, deleting all content?

It is a recent problem so it might be possible to track down the bad file. I wonder if that will help

Is there a way to track down the bad file?

Will it have damaged the indexing even if it's removed?

I removed several of which it's probably one, given the timing.

Need to find this out as I will want to add the same content back anyway if I have to reset - and I assume the problem would recur if it's a bad file that gets reintroduced.

It looks like this is what caused the problem: http://www.mobileread.mobi/forums/sh...d.php?t=262339

I'd forgotten to delete a file before trying to replace it with one with a reformatted title/author. As it wouldn't disappear, I'd figured this was the bad file.
Had no idea that could be so serious.
