I would strongly recommend that you don't by a 6" e-ink ereader to read PDFs. None of them do a great job. PDFs are generally sized for large page sizes and you will need to zoom and pan and that doesn't work well. The Kobo displays the page well, but the navigation is terrible unless you don't need to zoom. Kindles are supposed to be better, but I don't use them.

You can use inverted mode on the Kobo devices. It is in the firmware, but, isn't offically supported. Plus there are some other ways to do it.

What happen if I changed *PDF to *Mobi or any other format which is supported by Kindle or Kobo? I saw some editing PDFs and making it to fit these devices ? And how you see the Kobo Clara HD is it better then KPW?

Converting PDF to any reflowable format is a total PITA. PDF files are page oriented which makes converting to reflowable paragraphs a matter of guessing where the breaks go. Not to mention image positioning and pretty much any other formatting being hit or miss after a conversion.

As for the Clara HD? I own one and for me, it is better than the KPW. If nothing else, Kobo has left their software relatively open so doing modifications to their firmware, installing alternate renderers (KOReader, CoolReader, Plato, etc.) does not require jailbreaking or rooting your device. Compare this to Amazon where they have done their best to make jailbreaking a Kindle impossible.

what about dictionary support in Kobo ? can i highlight a word and see its meaning or go to wiki for it ? i think this can be done on KPW.

Spare yourself the trouble with pdfs on 6" readers and save some more money for an used 8" reader instead, with Koreader app installed thereon.

Koreader is must have pdf reader for 6" readers too, in the case you went that way.

Just to be clear, the dictionary doesn't work for PDFs. It does for ePub and kepubs.

Unless we install Koreader app and read pdf/epub/comics therein.

There is also a night mode.

I would recommend the B&N new Glowlight plus 2nd edition because you can't get a good eReader 7.8 or 8 inch screen for cheaper even though it is above your budget at $199.

You would need to root the device and install koreader. This is how you root the device :

https://forum.xda-developers.com/noo...ght-3-t3802331

^ It is the same method as rooting the Nook glowlight 3 probably because they use the same version of Android.

You can sideload koreader with Adb and fastboot.
