Device: Good Ereader 6.8, Boox C67ML Carta
Good E Reader 6.8 / Netronix tablet

I purchased the Good E Reader 6.8 E reader last month and received it 2 weeks ago.
I was interested in the ability to draw on a tablet and to be able to download my book reader apps on to a tablet with a good battery life.

I chose this reader because it was substantially cheaper than the Boyue or Boox tablets, and also because I do follow the news articles on the Good E Reader web site and it seemed to be a good place to buy from.

This E reader has a 6.8 inch Carta screen and comes with a micro SD port that the others do not have. The drawing app works well, and the other pre loaded apps are the Moon book reader, EZpdf reader, the ESFile app and the Good E Reader App for downloading other apps.

It does not have a home button or a speaker port. I don't think it supports Blue-tooth.

Unfortunately the Good E Reader app appears to be an old version and won't download many of the available apps. It does not appear to be possible to upgrade the app either because its embedded into the operation.

Interfacing to a computer should be possible but it seems to require a special USB driver for ADB communication. I can't get this resolved so I have to load files and apps onto the micro SD card to load them in the tablet.

Other things I noticed were:
- There was no manual included either in the box or on the tablet.
- The fonts and icons are quite hard to read. I suspect that the sizes are those set for the 13.3 Good E Reader tablet.
- Some apps like Kobo or Cloud reader may need Google Play store installed in order to work. Boyue and Boox support Play Store but not the Good E Reader which in all fairness was probably not intended to work with Play Store.

Support and communications with Good E Reader have been difficult. After a couple of communications with Kelly I have heard nothing back on these issues. I would like to return the unit but it does not appear to be possible.

Overall I am quite disappointed with the problems on the tablet and the response to my emails. This could be a useful device but the software issues make it very difficult to use.

QUESTIONS
1: Does anyone out there know about the USB driver issue?
2: Has anyone successfully installed Google Play Store?

Concerning Google Play, Goodereader says this https://goodereader.com/blog/electro...roid-e-readers

And you may find the following thread useful https://www.mobileread.com/forums/sh...d.php?t=285702

I considered the same device too, but eventually went for an Onyx precisely because it can connect to a BT keyboard. And it has 3.5mm jack and SD card slot too.
