Can someone help me with steps to convert a AWZ4 using KindleUnpack to either a EPUB or PDF?

  • Have KindleUnpack installed.
  • Select the book in your calibre library
  • Click on the KindleUnpack icon.
  • Click on AZW4
  • Click on Extract PDF

And bob's your uncle. This assumes the the AZW4 does not have DRM or you have configured DeDRM correctly to remove DRM from the file.

For the one AZW4 I have (for Scribe), I am able to convert to PDF with calibre, didn't need KindleUnpack (though that will also work).

What I do not understand is the source of the AZW4. Generally it's only available for download if you have a Kindle Fire, and DRM cannot be removed from it that.
