edge of Kobo Glo touch screen is dead

Is there any solution: 2mm of right edge of Kobo Glo touch screen is dead so I can't close the x on any pages or any other items such as the three dots, down a page..... is there a remedy? Hasn't been dropped and little used.

It's possible there's a bit of dust or crumbs stuck under the bevel that's interfering with the infrared touch. Try using canned air or a soft bristled brush to get under that bevel to try and clean out anything from underneath.

I have the same problem with my Kobo Aura H2O. It turned out to be a missing infrared diode (IR LED side SMD). Still trying to pin down what wavelength the photodiode receivers use. Apparently, 850 and 940nm .

Unfortunately, the size of the diodes has changed over the years. My old pocketbook and Kobo Aura HD use a larger IR LED, otherwise I could have soldered that one onto my H2O....probably, still going to try that.
