Apps won't load (KUAL)

Hi,
My kindle won't load KOReader, kterm or other gtk apps launched with KUAL. No logs, no error messages, i don't know what happened. When i load an app, i return to the kindle menu and it refresh after many seconds

If anyone has a solution, I'll take it.

What Kindle on what firmware version? If you are running 5.16.3 or higher then you need to use the kindlehf build of the apps.

I have a kindle paperwhite (10th gen) = PW4 with the latest version, i tried kterm in armhf version and it worked (thanks!) but KOReader isn't working

It's always best to say the actual version numbers. Just "latest" can change at any time, like this morning when 5.18.1 was released.

Were you using the kindlehf KOReader packages? I just installed koreader-kindlehf-v2024.11-275-g93ee0a141_2025-03-24.zip from the KOReader nightlies and it seems to install and run happily. The kindlehf packages have not yet made it to the mainstream KOReader packages so you need to visit the nightly page to download them.

Wow, tks a lot, i was searching a functional build (on the download page of KOReader there was a download for armhf but it doesn't work). Thanks again for all your help dudes

Right, armhf != kindlehf. There isn't yet a kindlehf build for the regular releases, as no jailbroken Kindle firmware that was built with hf had been available at the time of the 2024.11 release. Winterbreak was only released on 2025-01-01. There should be one when the next version of KOReader is released. That's why you have to run nightly for now.
