What file formats are the tech manuals?
There are dozens of ways to copy files between devices, but getting something off an ipad might be tricky. |

They're presumably PDF, which an eInk Kindle is not ideal for, to put it mildly!

What does this have to do with Kindle, other than being part of the thread title?
The OP's profile lists ownership of a Fire tablet. Do you want to read on that device? |

I like Foxit reader for PDF's, and it's available on Linux. No idea if there are issues running it on Mint.

Assumed he had PDF's he was viewing on his Kindle app and on Windows, and wanted to now be able to also read on his Mint distro. Maybe I read it wrong. Out.

The OP is such a muddle that I don't think any actual help can be provided without more clarity and detail about what he actually wants to do. |

It depends what the OP wants to read. You can read anything on any Linux, usually with the supplied programs. LibreOffice Writer and Calibre on Linux between them can convert most things for a Kindle, though PDF, DJVU and images may not work well depending on "page size". Web pages, CHM files and HTML manuals can be copy/pasted into LibreOffice on Windows and saved as DOCX for Calibre on Linux, or used in LibreOffice on Linux. The OP doesn't have enough details. |
