Is there a way to reduce the size of it? On longer titles, it sometimes ends up clipping. I checked the Look and Feel preferences but didn't see anything.

Doesn't seem so - it's the same as Main Interface->Interface font.

No, IIRC there is no setting for it and at any given font size there are always going to be some titles that wont fit.
