Kobo Forma gets stuck on get book list

After most recent update calibre gets stuck on getting the book list on device. It recognizes that the device is a kobo Forma but won’t retrieve list of books on device. Debugged device and it found no errors have version 3.4.4 can anybody help?

Calibre version 3.44 supports all released version of Kobo firmware and their devices. So, it should work. What actually happens? Are there any error? Can you access the device from the OS?
