Plugboards - per Libary? - "possible bug"
Hi all,
just bought a new ebook reader (Kobo Form - decent device!) and was transferring some books. As explained in the wiki i created the required plugboards for - title changes (as similar to the setup for a kindle). And stumbled over the following behavior. Creating the Plugboards: as per https://wiki.mobileread.com/wiki/Kob...nd_Collections {series:re(([^\s])[^\s]+(\s|$),\1)}{series_index:0>2s| - | - }{title} ---- switched to a second (already active library (quickswitch) transferred some books, Result. 1 lib: ST - 01 - Some Book Title 2 lib: Some other Book Title it took me quite some time, to figure out that the plug-boards are a PER library setting. Not a generic, System Setting. Since the libs are quite old - i never saw that - and i have quite a few plug-boards in there- has that been changed? Is this the desired behavior? If yes, please ignore the Question. \Pete |

Custom columns are per library. Since one can use custom columns on the plugboard, I believe the behavior described is intentional.

that makes complete sense -
a wall to bang every head against! BTW: the plugboards get copied if you do (create new Lib --> use structure) thanks for the explanation. \Pete |

For the record, the Kobo devices support series information. It will show as separate line in the library lists. The device can sort on it, and will search. Unfortunately, it isn't read from the books during the import process. The KoboTouch driver can update the database on the device the next time you connect with the series info. This should be the default configuration.
