Toc
hello to all participants, I have a problem with the validation of the epub I had never had, once converted from word to epub format, I arrange them as sigil, adding coepratin, metadata, creating the toc, etc., the problem is that the validator tells me that missing the toc, even if the toc is there, can someone help me?

Could it be the empty guide issue or the guide saying a toc exists but it is not present?

Excuse what do you mean by driving?
Excuse me but I'm translating from English into Italian and some words get lost with the translation! |

The HTML Toc message is only a warning. It's telling you that if you have plans to convert this epub to a kindlebook, you may have problems (the Kindle Publishing guidelines require an HTML toc to be present). Why the IDPF has made it their concern to warn about possible Kindle Publishing Guidelines violations, I'll never know.
But it seems you have other actual epub errors to worry about first. Last edited by DiapDealer; 03-06-2019 at 09:59 PM. |

Yes there are some other mistakes but also the lack of the toc is one of those, and I have to delete it, in fact the toc there is I do not know why it tells me that it lacks, no idea?

Thanks for the help, I clicked on the file "toc", add semantics, I chose "Toc" with a click, and saved, but does not change anything, who has any idea is welcome!

If that doesn't fix it, then it is more than likely being caused by one of the other ERRORS being reported. Always fix errors before worrying about warnings.
One of your actual errors is about a filename in a reference element not being manifested. I'd wager if you got that fixed, your warning would go away. That reference item (found in the guide section of the OPF where an html toc would be) is very likely your html toc. Imagine what might occur if your html toc (correctly tagged with the toc semantic and everything) were that unmanifested file? |

It would perhaps be more helpful if you could just copy and paste all the xml from the content.opf file into your next post which would then allow us to see your problems more clearly.
