¿ Calibre conversion to pdf problem ?
Hello, I'm new. Nice to meet y'all.
I'm trying to convert to a pdf in Calibre. I have a source Word docx, from which I made a great epub. Now I need a pdf but this pdf has a problem that I haven't encountered before, and I've done dozens of these. I'm stumped. It's a long book with 154 chapters spread over 4 pages. All the TOC links located on the first page go to chapter 24. ????? I probably have the TOC settings wrong in the conversion window. Clueless... Help? Thanks in advance. |

Calibre conversion to pdf more info
Hi and thanks for reading. I am on a Mac, High Sierra, have been using Calibre successfully for years. For the first time I have a problem with a copyrighted book, so I can't excerpt it. I've tried going from Word docx and from epub to pdf, both unsuccessfully. The TOC runs 3 pages long and has 154 entries. Entries 1-24 appear on the first page of the TOC. In the conversion pdf, all the entries on page 1 just go to chapter 24 (which happens to be the last chapter on the first TOC page). Beyond chapter 24, on the following TOC pages, all links work properly.
I've tried numerous settings in the convert window, including the default, and they all end up the same. |

Calibre conversion to pdf more more info
I did succeed in making a functional pdf by converting epub to mobi, then mobi to pdf. But the illustrations have all lost their aspect ratio and they're all flattened and too wide.

@chelleshel - why not create the PDF from where you started - in Word?

In recent versions of Word you can save as PDF, it uses the PDF printer driver, but it seems more 'natural' to me, and it defaults to saving alongside the input file - e.g. the DOCX.
