Statistics for non-kepub?
Does the Aura One offer any kind of basic statistics for (sideloaded) books that are not kepubs? I know some of the extended statistics are only available for that format, but I was wondering what kind of information the Aura One offered for any other format.

The statistics offered for epub, with a little trick, are: reading percentage, Hours of reading, current chapter % (may be not really working for epub, always zero for me) media Minuit for reading session, media page for Minuit. And for all books: % of finshed books and number of read books. Nothing for pdf.
You can add a line in a file to have statistics for epub (not when reading but pressing for a while on My books) The file is: Kobo eReader.conf in the hidden directory .kobo/Kobo/ of Your Kobo device. In the following section (if there isn't create it) add a line: [FeatureSettings] BookSpecificStats=true I use Linux so I haven't got the problem but if You use Windows may be better not to use Notepad or Wordpad, but something more similar in end of line to Unix, like Notepad++. for more information see, for example, that thread where I apprehended this little trick: https://www.mobileread.com/forums/sh...d.php?t=312586 Last edited by ps67; 01-29-2019 at 05:24 PM. |

Thank you so much! That is exactly the information I needed. I would be able to edit the file without problems, but I don't have an Aura One (yet). I got a Tolino Epos instead because the Aura One is not available here in Germany, but I am thinking about importing one the next chance I get.
What about the other supported formats like mobi and the comic book ones? Does the same trick work here? |
