ebook-convert output pdf with wrong chinese characters

Hello,
When I use ebook-convert to convert Chinese epub books to pdf, Chinese characters are abnormal. But it works well with mobi output. Am I missing something with pdf output options?

make sure the right font is being used. Remove any fonts from the epub or use the options in the look & feel section of the conversion dialog to ignore fonts in the book. then the conversion engine will use the system fonts, which is what it does for mobi sinceit has no embedded fonts.
