Back up library

Hello,
I have to take my computer in and get fixed and there is a possibility that the hard drive is failing. So I'm trying to update the library. I followed these steps:
clicked calibre library in library
clicked Export/import all calibre data
selected location and clicked okay
When it was finished all the metadata didn't actually show my books. Do I leave it like this? Are my books copied? Or do I need to physically copy and paste the folder in my external hard drive?

Please advise.

Thank you.

Your exported Calibre file folder should look something like (note: The Icons are from WinRar. yours may be different. but the TYPE should be the same)

And if you create a library in dropbox and in caliber choose the library hosted in dropbox.
Dropbox generates a folder on your pc that in turn is synchronized in the cloud.
I have the library in this way.

In case you are interested I leave the link for both of us to gain space in dropbox
