Charis SIL font question

Just started using my Kindle Paperwhite 3 recently and wanted to try out the Charis SIL font since I know it's a forum favorite, but what's the most updated version?

Version 1 - ChareInk-NoHinting.zip (687 views)
Version 1 - ChareInk-NoWeight-NoHinting.zip (469 views)

The ChareInk-NoHinting.zip (with weight) is better for eink devices like kindle paperwhite?

Also, Charis SIL font seems to be available on some websites as well. for example:

Is this where mobileread's modified version originated from? Which version is everyone using?

I'm using Charis SIL Modified Larger, that's an earlier version of ChareInk. I like it more than the newer versions, because it's somewhat larger. I don't like very small fonts or extremely tight line spacing.

Various versions. Jon generated several variants over the years. It is one of my favourites with the added weight. And yes, Jon modified it from the Charis SIL releases.
