Specs:
- 1200 mAh SpringPower battery
- Either an 8GB or 32GB SD card?
- WiFi B/G/N

I looked in the firmware to see if there is any new device name, but after a preliminary scan of the strings, I can't find anything.

Interesting.

I think a lot of the 6” eReaders have a 1500mAh battery. But I would have to check because I don’t trust my memory. If that were the case, this battery would be smaller, lending to perhaps a new “mini” 5-inch e-reader.

With the Clara having been just launched @ 6”, and the Aura One with it’s huge screen requiring a much bigger battery, I would think the niche in the product lineup would be either an update to the H2O 2 (6.8”), or a new 5”.

A 5” eReader, while popular as an ultraportable compared to all the other 6” eReaders, could come in at a lower price point making entry into the eReader market easier for consumers on the fence about the technology.

Also, some die-hates might be pleased to pick up a second (or third) device for cheap.

Given that B&N has the nG3 with page turn buttons, and Kindle has the Voyage and Oasis 1 & 2 with page turn buttons, Tolino and others have models with page turn buttons, I wish Kobo would offer an eReader with buttons. It may not be for everyone, but there isn’t even a model that gives the option.

I agree. Although a small "nit" — I don't think Tolino ever made a reader with page turn buttons.

I don't think the smaller battery size equating to a smaller device is a safe assumption.

I believe the Aura One actually has a smaller battery than the Kobo 6" devices.

The Aura one actually has a 1200mAh battery,, (and relatively terrible battery life as well, though I think that has more to do with the rgb LED's than screen size.)
