Opus gets an ebook reader
You know ebooks have "made it" when they're in the funny papers. Looks like Opus got one for Christmas, but......

Here is the link to the comic. He certainly knows how to make ereaders look bad. I guess I'll have to find a really dark room and a hard , uncomfortable chair when I use my Cybook. Apparently, I'm doing it wrong. Click! Click!

He does make ebooks look bad. The text of his pirated ebook ("To Kill a Mockingbird" is not legally available as an ebook) is all in caps, too. No wonder our hero doesn't like it! Now if he'd just try an eink reader and read one of Patricia's or Harry T's or someone else's wonderfully formatted ebooks, I'm sure Opus would join us here for more.

To Kill a Mockingbird was actually the first e-book I ever read...and I read it on my desktop PC. Wasn't bad at all, and I imagine that going through it on my 505 wouldn't detract much from the experience. I respect the incarnations of Bloom Country, but Berke Breathed seems to have a constant hard-on for both the good ol' days and for To Kill a Mockingbird.
