My MOBI won't scroll in Kindle
1. I used Calibre to convert my .docx to .MOBI and I uploaded it to my Kindle iPhone app. Everything seemed to work, except I got an alert that "This book does not support continuous scrolling." How do I fix that?

2. When the .MOBI didn't work, I converted the same .docx to .AZW3 and the Kindle app wouldn't open that at all. It said "Incompatible Document Type." What did I do wrong here?

Thank you so much for your help! I'm very new to creating eBooks and am figuring it all out by tutorials as I go.

1. Install Kindle Previewer and the Calibre KFX Output plugin.
2. Convert the book to KFX.

The Kindle for iOS app doesn't support AZW3 files. I.e., you didn't do anything wrong.

What file types does the Kindle app accept? I must have read up on it from an outdated source or something. It said .mobi and .awz3.

* It only accepts the old Mobi format. (If you use Calibre, you'll have to select "old" as the Mobi file type.)

It also accepts AZK files. These are basically the same format as the Kindle Cloud Reader uses and have similar capabilities to KF8. They can be created using Amazon's Kindle Previewer.

The Kindle for iOS app is different from the Kindle app on other platforms in this respect.

You are, of course, correct. I didn't mention AZK files, because KFX files are better and, AFAIK, only KFX files support continuous scrolling.
