Words highlighted yellow box

I have converted a book from Word .docx to Mobi and when viewed several chapters have words highlighted with yellow boxes.

Can't figure out why?

Suggestions please and thanks.

Obvious question: are they highlighted in Word? I know for certain that highlighted text carries over in a DOCX->EPUB conversion, not sure about MOBI.

What device/program are you using to view the MOBI.

Could you try converting to ePub to see if there's anything amiss there.

I have converted it to MOBI and am using View to proof read it .

The highlights only show in Calibre View not in the original Word document.

FYI the highlighting also appears in the EPUB conversion. And only began appearing in the last six chapters. Random words and partial sentences with yellow boxes.

Do you have change tracking turned on in the Word document? I remember converting a book that did and got some very interesting results. From memory, I had to accept all the changes before doing the conversion.

UPDATE: Found the issue in original word document. My editor had yellow highlighted a bunch of stuff and it was somehow hidden. Calibre conversion picked it up. All good now.
