Swipe taken as pinch

As I try to scroll the page through swiping, very often my swipe is taken as a pinch - instead of scrolling, I get a zoom.
This, with Kingsoft Office on the Max2.
Of course, it can get very annoying. I believe that the capacitive screen is imperfectly working.
Have you experienced anything similar?

Yes, while reading an epub. A reboot is the only thing that makes it stop once this behavior starts.
