Max 2 and the side note functionality

Greetings fellow e-book perverts

I can not see that my question has been asked before, if so i apologize.
My question is: When in dual-mode with an e-book on one side and notes on the other, are the two pages independent of each other or is each page of the e-book linked to a separate note-page, and if so, is it possible to link multiple note-pages with each page of the e-book?

Each page of the e-book is linked to a separate set of note pages (you start out just getting one note page per page, but you can add additional note pages to the set). Hope that helps.

How does this work with epub? How does export work there?
