How to Change Format of Published Date

Newbie David here and I want to know if the Published Date can be changed to another format easily. Currently in layout mode the date shows as
Month Year (May 2018)! All I want is year only. Any help is always appreciated!

It worked! I'm 70 years old and thought I would screw up the whole software but it looks fine!!
