Max Carta can't sign in Google Play Store

I haven't signed in Google store for long because most App doesn't support Android 4.

To my surprise, I tried to sign in today. But web browser just crashed. I was able to open Google Play Store last year. But not now.

Is it because Boox is not authorized Google device?

This maybe explains why: xda-developers.com/google-blocks-gapps-uncertified-devices-custom-rom-whitelist.

On my own devices i usually directly delete all things Google in order to get rid of their spyware and at least partly regain control. My personal app needs are sufficiently covered by the open source offerings available via f-droid.org.

That's a bummer for those wants to use Google stuffs.

TBH, I don't mind paying a premium for certified Apps. There are so many malware Android App in China. I always concern to manually install Android Apps from unknown source.

I wonder if new Max 2 is certified Android device.
