Brightness sliding down to 0%

Hello...my KoboGlo’s brightness has mysteriously started to slide to 0% on occasion. I can be reading and suddenly, the brightness has gone to zero.
Is this a thing anyone else is/has experienced?

Are you swiping up/down on the left edge of the screen as you're holding the device? That adjusts the screen light...maybe you're doing that without realizing somehow.

Yes, I've seen this a couple of times now. Not doing anything -- not swiping the screen edge, or anything like that. I'm trying to find on a sequence that can reproduce it, but I can confirm it does happen (on my Kobo Clara HD), and only recently, so it must be tied into a recent firmware update. I read .Kepubs.epubs directly bought from Kobo.

I've had it happen on my Libra. I just shut it down and restart it.

This happened to me a couple nights ago. I had turned off the room lights and opened my Clara to read in bed. The Clara went dark. I was able to swipe the Clara light back on, then it went dark again. I used the power button to put it to sleep and wake it up again and the light worked after that.
