Author sort

In my Edit Metadata the author sort comes up as: Last name followed by first name.

How can I change this so that it shows as First name followed by last name, just the way it is in authors

Preferences:Tweaks
(I'll let you use the search there for: sort order)

This only applies to NEW adds.
THEN
to fix existing
Select all books (assumes all are wrong): Tap 'E' (bulk mode metadata edit), Tick the Automatically set Author sort: OK
That recomputes it using the new rules

I used ID: author_sort_copy_method
and in Edit tweak
I used author_sort_copy_method = 'comma'
and replaced it with
author_sort_copy_method = ("fn ln" -> "ln, fn")

But I keep getting syntax error

I am hopeless at this

The description of the tweak has the list of valid values. The rest of the line is a description or examples. If I understand what you want from the first post, you need to use "copy". This will fix all new authors added. The tweaks description has instruction on fixing the existing ones.

I was finally able to do it (bit slow on the uptake, dont u think????

)
But now have run into another problem.
I dont how but now when I am adding books the author name comes up as Ln>Fn while previously and always it used to come up first name followed by last name.
I must have changed something inadvertently while I was try to get the author sort to be the same as author name!!!!
Pls tell me how can I make the author name to come up as first name followed by last name. Where do I make this change? I tried searching tweaks but to no avail.

On the "Adding books" page of the preferences, there is an option to swap the first and last names. Did you select that? Other than that, I can't think of anything.

Is there something I did when doing the copy of author to author sort (my initial query) ?
Should I do invert?

Very frustrated......................pls help
