Running a text editor on the kobo
Is there a way to run a text editor on a kobo (aura HD if it matters), with potential USB keyboard support?

1) Make an eBook with loads of headings and add notes. You can do a Calendar/Diary this way, or add details to an outline. (MS Office or LibreOffice + Calibre to make the eBook). Use Calibre to read the notes back to Laptop.
2) You'd need USB host mode, and the actual HW would need to be USB2Go type. I've never heard of that on any Kindle or Kobo eInk model or else the models that have no SD card slot could take storage via USB adaptor. I have an adaptor and certainly nothing obvious happens adding external storage or keyboard on my original H2O Many free text editors for Android and iOS and most Android phones & Tablets work far better with a mini USB keyboard than Bluetooth, using Micro USB to USB Host adaptor. Some folio USB Keyboards at less $10 eBay China are excellent and have a micro USB plug wired for USB2Go host mode. |
