Fonts with mathematical operators
Can anyone recommend a font I can put on my Kobo that contains the Unicode mathematical operators subset - ie those characters between U+2A00 and U+2AFF. None of the fonts I presently have on the Kobo contain more than a few of these characters.

There are the STIX fonts at:
https://sourceforge.net/projects/sti...st%20Releases/ Install the four STIX-*.otf opentype fonts from STIXv1.1.1-latex.zip I don't think these are exactly ideal for e-ink screens because they have a mix of thick and thin stroke widths, and such fonts seem be more affected by ghosting than those with a more uniform stroke width. Also the line spacing is very wide (maybe adjust with fontforge, or install linespacing firmware patches). But they work okay. |

Thanks. I also found that the Linux Libertine font contains all those operators. The problem with it, as well as the other fonts suggested, is that they're all fairly thin, and none of them allow the font weight to be increased in the way that the bundled fonts allow.

It works well--and patching the firmware on a Kobo is fairly simple--doesn't require jailbreaking. If interested look around this forum for information. |

I might be interested in trying these fonts out, but I know absolutely nothing about how font files work. How does one install new fonts on a Kobo reader?
