Inconsistant Output Across Apple Devices

Hi There,

I'm using calibre 3.14.0 on Mac OS 10.13.2.

I'm converting a .mobi file I authored to ePub, but the 'last page' output on Apple Devices varies.
  • Desktop iBooks - Last page appears as desired
  • iPad 3 iBooks - Last page appears as desired
  • iPhone 7 Plus iBooks - Last page appears twice
  • iPad Pro iBooks - Last page does not appear at all

Any idea what may be going on with the iPhone and iPad Pro versions?

Thanks,
KB.

Test Update

Just providing some additional information based on my recent test.

I added an additional blank page at the end of my book with the following results:
  • Desktop - The new page is visible.
  • iPhone 7 Plus - The new page is not visible.
  • iPad 3 - The new page is not visible.
  • iPad Pro - The last two pages are not visible.

So essentially with the new dummy blank page added to the end, I can now see the new second-last page on devices 1 - 3 above.

I just need help to figure out what may be going on with the iPad Pro which isn't showing either of the last two pages!

Thanks,
KB.

If your EPUB validates, then it is the Viewer app that is at fault (not unheard of )

Hey, thanks for the reply. Why would iBooks on an iPad Pro render the book any differently from the iPad 3? Isn't the app identical? I can't imagine this would be the cause??

Have no idea why Apple does things. (I just say i-won't )

Kindles don't behave the same. Nooks don't behave the same.
So why would I expect Apple to be that different

Changes in the building blocks (API libraries) affect end results

Kobo's behave the same with the same firmware. Most Kobo's can run the same firmware.
