pdf keywords to metadata tags

I recently imported a large number of books into my library and discovered that the metadata tags populated but author used a semicolon rather than a comma as a separator. So I have tags that look like "gin;vodka;beer;cheese". Is there a way that I can do a global search and replace to change the semicolon to a comma?
