I've popped into this forum a number of times since I started using Calibre, but I didn't join until a week or so ago. My introduction, therefore, is well overdue, particularly since I found some Very Good Advice about making calibre communicate more effectively with my Galaxy S4.

I tend to keep a low profile, and I don't like services like Google and Amazon looking over my shoulder, so I've switched my Android tablets, including my Fire HDX, over to the Pocketbook app (which I actually like more than the native Kindle reader) and use calibre to convert (to epub format) and manage my ebook collection.

I downloaded and installed Pocketbook independently, and not from Google Play.

Tell him so on the calibre forum as he may not check around here very often.

Welcome to community, you seem a determined individual and I admire your independence and will to follow through. I wish I could embody that better!
