Spice box by the late Grace Livingston Hill (Wikipedia) is a standalone novel in the Love Endures series reprinting her vintage f/m inspirational romances, this one a then-contemporary tale of intertwining fates and possibly two couples-to-be, as a doctor discovers a young woman lying in a snow drift, who later disappears mysteriously without revealing her true identity, even as an elderly woman tries to befriend a local boy running wild in the streets, free for a limited time courtesy of Christian publisher Barbour Books.

This was originally published in 1943 by J. B. Lippincott. A customer review notes that this is written in a style apparently rather different from the author's usual one, but still enjoyable anyway if you like her stories.
