Recover deleted books

Hallo,
I deleted about 100 books by mistake. I was able to recover the deleted bookfiles (epub). I can add these books again but the modifications i did are stored in the OPF files and not in the books itself. When I add the books to calibre again it does not use the OPF files so all my updates are gone.
Is there a way to add the opf file information?

Dont re-add infidivdual files. Instead copy the entire folder out of the recycle bin. Then right click the add books button in the calibre and choose add books from sub-folders, one book per folder. That will restore the emtadata saved in the OPF file inside the book's folders, which calibre maintains as a backup in case of database corruption.

Thanks for the quick response. At first it did not work at all. I had the "Rules for filter added files" set to ignore files not ending with ".epub". Temporary removing that restriction solved the problem.
