Free (Kindle) Prodigal Gun by Stephen Wade [Avenging Fugitive vs Town Tyrant Western]

Prodigal Gun by Stephen Wade is his standalone western historical action adventure novel, this one the obligatory tangled web of vengeance and corruption and murder, oh my!, as a young man is out to avenge the murder of his father by the minion of the town tyrant, but must gather allies in secret to overthrow him after being forced to go on the run, free for a limited time courtesy of publisher Endeavour Press' Pioneering imprint.

This is one of their original publications by an established author, who apparently has a lot of true crime credits to his name.

Currently free @ Amazon (available to Canadians & in the UK and pretty much everywhere else Amazon sells worldwide, since this is being done via their KDP Select exclusive-or-else program)

Description
With most of Bailey run by a tyrant, how can the townsfolk succeed in bringing real justice?

Ed Hardy lives and works on the Big Sky ranch - a young boy, old enough to carry a gun but not quite ready to manage the ranch.

Dan Murdo runs most of Bailey, his power over the town and its people is only challenged by Gus Rowe, in his refusal to sell his establishment, the False Start, to Murdo.

Ed Hardy’s father Joe, was murdered by Murdo’s minion - Keller.

Ed seeks to avenge his father’s murder, despite his mother Tilda’s desperation to not risk losing him too. But revenge is not simple when the target runs the town with a gun.

One night, Ed Hardy witnesses a robbery and murder, committed by a deputy - corrupted by Murdo!

Seen, Ed goes on the run and is fortunate enough to bump into Frank Cole, who hides him. It turns out that ex lawman, Frank Cole, was Joe Hardy’s friend.

Frank is a drifter however Tilda, Ed and a town in need of order may just be enough to change his ways...

Hunted by the Murdo and his men, Frank and Ed’s family must gain allies to take on the town tyrant, but how much blood will be shed for what seems a futile cause…?
