So I just recently purchased a kindle paperwhite. However I ran into an issue where my books won't show up. However I got one from this site to test and those worked just fine. Just the ones I have are not appearing. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

If a book from the MR library does show up, but the other books don't, that would suggest that the issue lies with those books. Where did they come from? What format are they in?

They are books I got from my roommate. They are mobi format. They work just fine on his kindle fire just not the paperwhite. I can even find them converted on the paperwhite itself. Just can't access them on the device.

Rather than putting them in a folder, just use the send to feature in Windows. It will put them where they need to be.

I have the problem that, often, files in mobi format don't show up on my kindle also.
Converting them to azw3 with calibre and then putting them in the kindle usually solves this. Hope this helps. |
