Right click in windows explorer convert ebook

Is there anyway to interface Calibre with Windows Explorer so we can right click on a ebook file and convert it that way and not have to import in to Calibre, it would just save the file in the same directory as the original, not in the Calibre folder? I have some books I do not want to import into Calibre but I would just like to convert them. Mostly I use Calibre to download fanfiction and convert to epub and I have them all sorted in Calibre. Or is there another program that would do this?

You could change the file association in Control Panel/Programs for MOBI, AZW*, and EPUB files to the Main Calibre program. Then when you left-cllick on a file, Calibre will open and place the file into the main window. I have that set up for AZW* and MOBI files.

Or you can right-click and choose "Open With," and then choose the Main Calibre program to open the file.

Files can also be dragged into Calibre from an Explorer window.

See ebook-convert in ==>> Command Line Interface. Use it in a script, then put a shortcut to the script in the Explorer Send To folder (Winkey+R, shell:SendTo)

Or create a scratch library, add book, convert book, save book, delete book. Advantage you can play with the myriad of conversion settings until you get what you want.
