Plugboards for Dummies

Having read parts of the Calibre manual and numerous blogs online, I still don't understand how to get the existing plugboard azw3:kindle2 working. With all the dozens of series I have entered in Calibre I've never figured out how to successfully add series numbers to book titles when sending to my Kindles. What am I missing?

I'm stumped and would greatly appreciate some guidance.

Edit: Pls. disregard. A re-install of Calibre solved the problem.

Make it look like the image below.

You can change the "any format" and "any device" settings to be more specific - e.g., only for Kindles - but if you're like me you want the same naming convention regardless if it's a Kindle Paperwhite, a Fire tablet, or some other brand ePub device that you're downloading to. The "any format" and "any device" choices allow for this to be a default applied to everything.
