Error Communicating with Device

I just started getting this error when I connect to Calibre:

Cannot write to file: hr=2147500037 facility=0 error_code=16389 description: Unspecified error

I connected another tablet, and it worked fine. Then I tried the first tablet again, and got the same error. Any idea what is up with this?

The device probably has storage or access errors.
Has it been Cold Booted (from power off)? It may cleanup filesystem errors during boot.

That is an error communicating with the device. Usually, this kind of error can be fixed by
following the steps below in sequence. First:

1) Try rebooting both the device and your computer
2) If that does not work, find the files driveinfo.calibre and metadata.calibre on the device
and delete them (you can use Windows Explorer or a file manager on the device itself to do this)
3) Reset the device

If none of those work, you can use one of the wireless communication methods described here:

I tried all theducks and all three Kovid. I can get it to say it is connected, but no books show up and I cant add any except through file explorer. I think it is time to delete all the books and start over-I added a bunch yesterday, and something must have been bad. Will let you know.

Well, deleting the books didn't work, either. So I reset my device, and then rebooted my computer. Now everything is working. Sounds like a bad book, maybe. Calibre was finding objects like angry birds, and other non-book stuff. Guess I need to keep this device just for reading.

Right click the device's icon in calibre, select configure this device and tell calibre where on the device you want it to scan for books.
