Thumbs up Free (Kindle) Lunar Vengeance by John Russell Fearn [Golden Age Sci-Fi Collection]

Lunar Vengeance: A Collection of Science Fiction Stories by the late British author John Russell Fearn (ISFDB, Wikipedia, SFE), edited by British author Philip Harbottle (ISFDB, SFE), is a collection of his vintage golden age science fiction stories, featuring six tales from the 1940s-1950s, apparently with a theme of exploring civilization (or the lack of it) on various settlements within our solar system, free for a limited time courtesy of publisher Endeavour Press' Venture imprint.

This is one of their original publications compiling older work by an established author, containing stories which were credited under the pseudonyms of Thornton Ayre, Vargo Statten, Mark Denholm, and Volsted Gridban, as well as under Fearn's own name (usually during the reprint/translation cycle), many of which have only been reprinted once or twice before. The title story was originally published in Amazing Stories magazine in 1943, apparently last reprinted in 1971, and this new collection includes a brief introduction to the late author and his works by editor Philip Harbottle.

Currently free @ Amazon (available to Canadians & in the UK and pretty much everywhere else Amazon sells worldwide, since this is being done via their KDP Select exclusive-or-else program)

Description
Finally collected into one anthology, six classic short stories written by sci-fi legend, John Russell Fearn.

Lunar Vengeance begins with the first ever attempt at reaching the moon. One giant leap for man quickly turn to tragedy and confusion as the rocket plummets back to Earth.

Hartley Dean, or ‘Hart’ to his co-workers, cannot believe what has happened, he simply must find out what caused such a catastrophic accident.

Could it have something to do with an ancient civilisation being uncovered in the Egyptian Sahara, Tri-Konam?

Hart is determined to find out for himself.

But will he too lose his mind?

Deadline in Space tells the story of unrest on a Plutonian outpost.

The year at the start of events in The Arbiter is 2080 and war has finally been eradicated from the world.

The Mental Gangster begins with five criminals making their escape from an asteroid penitentiary beyond Pluto.

In the post-atomic world of March of the Robots humanity needs rebuilding.

In Solar Assignment, Len Dayton and Rex Lanson are on a mission to explore Pluto for resources.
