Has anyone tried to Change the SD Card inside of a PW3?

I found this and was thinking "just what I needed...More Space" But the clip is not filling in the questions

After I install a Bigger SD Card.... Would the PW recognize it? What else would I need to do for it to work?

That "video" is talking about the very first Kindle from 2007. It had the removable panel on the upper back, and was the only e-ink Kindle to have an SD card slot.

Yes, it does indeed have "something inside that is used for storage" (a memory chip on the motherboard), but it doesn't have an SD card.

I think that (appalling bad) video is talking about a Kindle Fire, but given the complete lack of visuals it's hard to be sure. It's basically just advertising a support company.

Short answer: Yes

The PW-2 and the PW-3 are similar enough that you could use this tutorial:

(or use a buyer's agent to buy a 32Gbyte PW-3 from Amazon Japan - and yes, we (in the sub-forum) have limited support for the PW3-32G )

That is actually the place they put the SIM card for the 3g modem in the 3g version.

I don't understand why Amazon Refuses to make the storage Bigger. They took away 500 ebooks storage for the DUMB Voice file! K3 had Voice out of 4gb OS Voice everything else you still have room for 3500 ebooks. & Now they talking about adding Alexa too?? What for? You cant hear or talk to her or whatever ..... ugh The more junk they add the less ebooks you can put on the ereader.... isn't that what it is a ereader?!?!

Wait about six weeks, see if Amazon introduces a US version of the PW3-32 for the holiday shopping season. *

Amazon will only sell the Japanese version to a Japanese customer.
Which is why you have to have a Japanese purchasing service buy it for you.
There are several well known and long established purchasing services in Toyko that you can trust and use.
Google has their contact information.
The service charge and shipping will almost double the cost of the Kindle.
(There will not be any US customs to be paid on anything under $600 or $300, I don't recall exactly).

The PW does not (as far as I know) have a microphone, so this couldn't be done.
