Kobo Aura Edition 2 Browser Download Failure

Hello folks.

I've been struggling for a while with an annoying thing. Since the last update I am not able to download epub files or anything else via browser on my Kobo. I've recorded a video about it. I hope you guys could assist me with it.

PS : I don't have USB cable right now so i guess it's the only method that read my library on my Kobo via Wi-Fi. By the way, I was able to download epubs like that before the update.

Try sending the files to a Gmail account, then access gmail via the browser. I was able to do that recently because my Kobo Glo won't download from the Calibre Companion right now.

What happens when you try? I just sent an epub file to my gmail account, logged in with the browser on my Kobo, tapped the email, then the file, and the download dialog popped up. It worked perfectly.

Hello. I really appreciated you guys thanks for the help. Eventually I figured somehow to download a book to my Kobo.

What I've done .

I was sent an attachment from hotmail to gmail.
I tried to download attachment from gmail didn't work.
Then in hotmail i convert the attachment link to short link via bit.ly and execute it in Kobo Browser.
IT WORKED

Now after this annoying issue resolved I might have a little problem too. While searching for a resolution to download books via browser I factory reset so all of my "Reading Stats" are gone. Can i retrieve them back anyhow ?

Any help will be appreciated. Thanks in advance !

I don't know anything about the reading stats. I never look at them, and don't know if Kobo keeps that info on their servers. Even if they do, for books purchased from them, they most likely do not for side loaded books.

Probably not. Kobo sync some of the stats to their server, but only for books purchased and downloaded from their. The stats for sideloaded books are only on the device in the database. Unless you have a database backup you can restore, they are gone.
